I will have a look later tonight and see if I can find some of you. I've just did a thumbnail look and I think I found Lea and Jeb but only time will tell :)

Well, went to the zoo today and get there and put the flash on the camera, dead. Forgot spare batteries! D'oh! $9 for a 4 pack of AA for the flash. Happily go about our day, checking the small screen after most shots. Everything looks great on the tiny screen! Get home and download, almost none of them are in focus! Aaaarrrggg! I seem to have had some weird back focus problem going on. Anyway it was a short day, we didn't get there till 1 and it closed at 4 so I didn't really lose all that much. I was hoping for a FS shot for this month though. I'll have to make a return trip sans kids and crowds (it was overwhelmingly crowded today) but I'll need to figure out what the problem was first.

Probably. LOL! I'm such an idiot sometimes. Normally only the center spot lights up red when I focus, now all 9 spots are lighting up. I really didn't pay it much attention and I'll have to read my manual to figure out what I did.

If it's good, there is a good chance it will get picked up by PBS; try suggesting it to your local station. With the advent of Digital TV there are a lot more channels available -- one of our local stations runs a channel which is all kid shows all the time. Check out PBS Kids Go! ...

That would be a cool station! PBS has had some great kids shows. We have such a boring cable service. Not much good unless you want to pay heaps and loads.

Wendy, you'll be able to see it in the month of May (I believe, I'll check for sure and let you know) on Nickelodeon, the have the rights for the US and Australia and I also know that Sinking Ship (the owners and producers and creative minds) behind Dino Dan are in talks with Euro Disney for the rights in Europe and Asia.

We have been told to try and keep our schedules open for a movie that they already have written to film this spring and summer out in the bad lands of Alberta.

We're hoping the buzz around the show will generate great things for the children in the show, they all worked so hard and it would be nice to see it pay off for them.

All the best to you and yours.

MAX!

ETA: Just checked on the US release date and it's April not May :)

Hey all -

Max, the movie sounds like it'll be a blast. Will you be in Drumheller? If so make sure to check out the Royal Tyrell museum...actually wouldn't surprise me at all if they actually shot in the RT.

Hey everyone, remember that dilemma I had with Fatass Heating when my chimney came down last Friday?

Well, here's Mr Smallfirm (his helper is out of shot) ensuring that his work will stand up. Apparently the guy who put up the chimney originally did an incredible number of things poorly.

Here's the rundown in case you missed it the first time: My chimney fell down and needed to be put back up.

Fatass Heating, the local BIG GUYs in the biz, quoted me January 29th as they had to round up an installation crew; 3-4 hours' worth of work; and oh I would have to replace the whole chimney, and of course the install date would be weather-dependent, yadda yadda yadda. I was originally quoted $250-$400, I'm sure it would have been probably close to double had I gone with them.

Mr Smallfirm told me noon Monday, and he would be here with a helper. Yes, when he saw what needed to be done, he did say it would be the toughest job today. No excuses, no bullshit, nothing. Then they began putting up ladders, rounded up the pieces and drilled them together (a step missed by the original guy) and oh yes, they did the work in just under 2 hours. The final bill? $150 + GST. I had anticipated $200-$300.

And no, haven't yet been over to Fatass Heating to kick them around, yet, but I will do it right now, cause I have to call and cancel them for January 29th. Oh boy this is gonna be good!! ;-)

Congrats with your working chimney, hope it will stay there forever (or at least for some years).

Greets from California, where it has been very very wet and quite windy. Might clear up by the weekend, though!

I don't get it. How can you take a photo and make it black and white or sepia and it looks good. And when I try it, it looks stupid? I really need to learn how to see in black and white.

Welcome home!
