Happy Holidays Team Suck. I got some nice gifts to help in the photography department. Now I have to find my inner creative and start shooting again.
I hope it was magnificent for one and all.
Jeanne
Merry merry everyone. And I wish one and all a fantastic 2010. |

Hey all
So far sounds like a good Xmas was had by many of us - 4 in the top 11! Is that a new record, Don?
Had a fantastic Christmas - got a remote slave flash, neutral-density filter and a NIKON mount - those were the gifts I got from a certain C-TR (Canon-toting redhead ;-) and let's not forget the terrific loan of a 20D and 10-22 lens from another C-TR, RayEthier, who not only can be blamed err, credited for introducing me to DPC, he correctly guessed my Rural Decay entry and is thrilled to bits that I shot it with his equipment!
So I didn't ribbon this time around. However, I did finish in the top 10, and if even a few months ago someone had told me I would do so, I would have laughed while thanking them for being so optimistic!

Now back to reality...

You my dear are so very welcome, I knew you could and would do it. There is more to come from you for that I am sure but what I'm not sure of is your sudden interest in inferior camera equipment. Don't be swayed by the Dark Side stick to your guns and stay Nikon :)
All the best to you and yours.

I've been trying to behave, but I'm so stoked!
I can't believe how well things have been going with my photography.
If you are interested, look and see what happened through my last ten challenges.
I told you my camera was broken and behaving weirdly!
I blame Bear! LOL!!!

Aww thanks Max...and never fear, I am not going over to the Dark Side, but it doesn't hurt to learn how to use the other most popular brand of camera out there. I really did just shoot as I would have done with the Nikon. What I've really learned from shooting with the Canon is that I need a wide-angle lens for the Nikon! :-) |

Well I'm glad to see that you still have your iron will :) I think it's wonderful, don't loose it. I have to admit, I too have squeezed off more then a few shots with Leo's Cannon so I know of what you speak.
I just entered my last free study of this year and it is one of those shots you only dream of getting and I finally got it so I do hope it does well but you all know this place as good as I do, I won't hold my breath :)
All the best to you and yours.

You know what, there should be a gtg where everyone has to swap cameras (and only one lens, that chosen by the camera's owner) and shoot with a different brand from what they normally shoot. Then have a 1-hr q&a so everyone has the chance to get familiar with the gear. Then go and shoot!
Sounds like you have a killer FS entry lurking in the wings, Max, good luck! |

I have one too! Well I'm just hoping for a PB, but I'd be happy with a bad score and good comments. |

I'm starting to get nervous about my entry for the December free study. I waited so long to get the type of shot that I have that I'm not sure how it will do, OH well nothing I can do about it now except wait for the challenge to start and see how it does.
