My frustration doesn't have anything to do with scores (though my low key score really sucked). It's the rules that are bugging me right now. I shot for the triptych challenge. I edited each of 3 pictures using basic rules. Then when I combined them in photoshop you had no choice but to use layers. Each picture you paste in adds another layer. That's against basic rules. I mentioned this in the thread about it, and was told to pull it by an SC or it would be DQ'd. So I did. Then it's said to be legal for this challenge. But I've been burned by being told two different things before and would rather not risk another DQ. So I wasted my time shooting and editing for it. It's just frustrating and I miss my update button. Oh well. |

| That's why I avoided the triptych challenge and will shoot something safe for my corner of the world... maybe a nice cheery shot of me huddled in a fetal position in a corner, clutching a Canadian flag in one hand and swigging from a bottle of maple syrup with the other, all the while having a crazed (aka normal) expression in my eyes... |

The suggestion to pull it was made before the (invisible to you) SC discussion. Pasting the three Basic-edited images side-by-side is definitely legal for this challenge -- just re-submit it. The suggestion to withdraw the entry was only a "safety feature" to make sure that, if the SC discussion had gone differently, you would not suffer a DQ through forgetting (or being unable) to withdraw the entry later.

Nahh, just being a drama queen :-) It was actually really great, met Ryan's  Magnumphotography's family and apparently they approve of me. And LadyK, surely we can find something else petty and mindless to bicker over, with the understanding being that I, Mistress Snaffles, am always right - remember? ;-) |
