After 3 years as a Team Suck member, I would like to give back a little of what has been given, by breathing life back into the Oobie and Yappie.
My proposal.
Challenges ending Tuesday 12:00 PM Eastern time US, and the week previous and new side challenge images, and commenter̢۪s of the same time will be open for nomination Wednesday- Friday evening.
Friday evening- Sunday afternoon Voting.
Sunday afternoon announcement.
Tuesday night I will open a new thread every week for nominations of the previous weeks challenges and side challenge images (new never before seen), and comments of the same to be nominated for both Oobie and Yappie, although the vote will be Team Suck only, I am debating whether nominations should be Team Suck or include all DPC .
I think also a person can be nominated multiple times, but only awarded once in a calendar year. We can do a extraordinary award at the end of the year.
Voting, I think this is a Team Suck award and should include all Team Suck not just a subteam..
What I need from you..
Approval from the majority of the active members of Team Suck.
Blessings of Don, and hopefully Mary.
Do you think nominations should include DPC in general, or Team Suck only?
Thoughts- Ideas, keep them simple to match the guy (me).

Good luck. It was not easy to get participation and the awards were frequently misunderstood.
You may want to PM  krnodil and ask her advice.

Oobie- is not a shoehorn, it̢۪s a different perspective, a challenge called signs, that shows a beggar on the street, a out of focus woman with a positive pregnancy test, a license plate, all fit the challenge but require thought.
Yappie_ goes beyond the ‘this is overexposed†type comment, to the this is a bit overexposed and here is how I learned to fix it, or the how I feel while looking at your photograph, it’s a story. It’s a comment that makes you feel as much as they feel when they are looking at your creation.. |

Oh dear! Have fun, I'm still not quite ready. I've got 5 weeks left of whipping my daughter into shape, LOL! I actually taught her to cook pancakes yesterday. I'm hoping by the time my granddaughter is ready for solid food, she'll be able to cook. |

| LOL, daughter in law has no cooking skills either. The other day she cooked stuffed shells, I still laugh when I think of the amount of time it took to fill all those tiny shells. |

Two problems that were identified, for participants at dpc, were:
a) that the shots that scored high and won ribbons tended to a certain similarity
b) comments were few and far between, and the quality of information given to the photographer was often disappointing
the debate still rages.
The OOBIE was there to recognise entries that made alternative interpretations of challenge parameters - thus sacrificing any hope of high scores, etc.
The YAPPIE was designed to recognise and encourage individual contribution to improving the sad statistics of problem b)

| Well it seems our granddaughter is not in so big a hurry, and we are looking 3-4 weeks, maybe. No delivery photos though as concerns over swine flue only allow dad in the room. |

What the heck has happened here!!! I go away with Isaac for a few days of filming and it looks like "MY SISTERS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE MINDS AND ACCOUNTS OF LadyK and snaffles" I'm stuck in a horrible flash back dream to the late 80's. Quick someone wake me up!!!!!
