Has anyone ever suggested a classified style listing of equipment for sale or trade, with separate page devoted to it, rather than listing it in the forums; when listing in the forums it usually ends up off topic, plus it uses up server resources needlessly. It could be set up in such a way that postings would expire after a set period of time (say two weeks) and would be the responsibility of the poster to repost if need be.

Sounds a good idea but won't that mean more work for no reward for Drew and Langdon ?
I would think they wouldn't want to get involved with the legalities of this. Just my opinion of course. :)

I was thinking to myself that I wanted a for sale/trade/want to buy forum, as well. I'm sure others would like to see one as at some point we will want to unload some gear that we don't need anymore. Personally, I'm looking for a cheap P&S camera in the 3-4MP range that I can keep in my pocket or car instead of bringing out the F717 or the big 10D. Free bump! :)

This was part of the original intent of the Hardware forum.
