this is probably a silly question that I know the answer to, but haven't thought of it yet (which probably means it is not goign to work)
SO I wanted to do some longer exposures on bulb. Of course the RC1 doesn't work with the 50d (thanks Canon)
So is there a way to get a 120 second exposure without bulb mode. |

That's what I use... Of course, I use it in bulb mode for a long exposure...

In the meantime you can get creative and try a wide elastic band wrapped around your camera and slip a ball ( or something the size of a pea) under the elastic when you want to press the shutter. When you want to end the exposure carefully lift the elastic band and let the shutter close.
I am sure you can figure out a way.

would you have that on bulb mode? |

Yes it would be on bulb mode. The ball and elastic are holding the shutter button down instead of your finger. Just lift the elastic when you want to end your exposure.
Its a delicate procedure but it will do in a pinch.
