This is one of my first macro shots, so I'm a little new at this-

Shot using Minolta DiMAGE Z2

Very vibrant colors. Aquarium shot are very difficult to do, but this is a good shot. What were the settings you used for this shot?

F2.8 Shutter:1/8
Shot in "Fine" mode with standard sharpness- at 2272x1704

I didn't quite get the depth I was looking for, as you can tell the tail of the fish is already starting to go out of focus--
The tank has 2 175W MH 10000k bulbs over the tank lighting this picture.
I turned the actinic (blue) lights off for this shot to capture more natural color.

The camera was on SuperMacro mode, and I had to hold the camera by hand b/c my tripod didn't come until today.

Good picture. The not being on a tripod probably hurt the most. There is no room for movement when shooting through glass into water. Parts of this are in focus so you didn't move much. When shooting through glass you want to be as perpendicular to the glass as possible any angle and items beyond the glass get fuzzy and/or distorted.
