I just started editing photos a few weeks after a very long hiatus and I am having an issue with the resize image function on Photoshop CS2

As soon as I crop an image from a 3504 x 2334 sized image, CS2 automatically resizes it to 1800 x 1200 (?!?... WTF?).

Can anyone tell me how I can keep this from happening (bad, bad CS2... take a time out... go on)

Merci

Can you list the exact steps including any parameters you are setting?

Sounds like you have the crop tool set to a specific setting. The same thing can happen with the marquee selection tool.

Select the crop tool, and make sure the "length" and "width" aren't set to specific values. If they are, hit the clear button, and you can then crop any size/ratio you want.
