Question.
When i look at second hand lenses I often see people say "no fungus".
How do lenses get a fungal infection?
What does this do to the lens?
How can i avoid it? |

Out here in Singapore if you leave anything still for a few days some fungal spores will settle on it, and in the humidity its hay-presto - - fungus.
No idea what this does to a lens exactly.
Keep lenses (and camera) in a dehumidified box.

I use a dehumidifying cabinet just to be safe as humidity is a problem where I live.
It was not that expensive when you consider it was less than replacing any one of my lenses or flashes (excluding the nifty 50 that is). |
