| Hey all! I am a stay at home Mother of 2 great kids. I also do childcare and am taking a home course on photography..very very busy! I love photography and just got a new rebel t1i..I LOVE it. I am here to learn so any info would be great. Thanx and hope to get know some of you! |

Welcome to the madness! Jump in quick and enter (but make sure you triple read the rules first!). Here is some reading for you: unofficial guide to dpc
Watch out for Slippy..he has a thing for squirrels.... or he is nuts....or both! |

Welcome. I'm sure you will have a good time here. I've learned a lot both with voting and commenting and by entereing photos. I look forward to seeing your work.
ETA: Make sure you post some photos of your kids too.

| Hey there... I started here too as a stay at home mom.. Taking a course in photography !!! lol.. I now have two little ones and am being layed off from my part time job so, it's back to the stay at home grind.. Welcome to DPC... I hope you enjoy it here as much as I have.. Can't wait to see you dive in and start the rewarding & sometimes painful process of entering challenges.. Keep a light heart and an open mind and you'll do great.. |

OH no.. stay away from Slippy  strikeslip at all costs.. :-)... (you'll understand after one full day on the site what we mean.. |

Hello there, welcome to DPC!
It's an excellent place to learn, so don't be afraid to ask questions (just try to search through the forums first; often the answer has already been gone over very thoroughly). Also don't forget about the tutorials, which can be found at the top right under Learn->Tutorials.
Lastly, don't take everything to heart a whole lot. Remember people are trying to help when they make comments. Disagreement is great because it can enable you to see your photo in a totally different way. If you want some further comments and explanation on a photo from a challenge, you can post it in the Individual Photograph forum, located in the "Photography" section.

Welcome. The folks are right to warn you about Slippy. He has pure evil in his blood.
A string of garlic around your neck while you're logged in should protect you. Can't type any more, I have to go hide my nuts. Enjoy your time here - it's never dull. |
