I'm using 2 or 3 Nikon speedlights triggered by Pocket Wizards to light my subject, with a long shutter speed to capture the far away background at night. How do I make the lights go off in rear-curtain mode? The subject will be moving and I need the lights to go off as late as possible. On default setting, the lights fire immediately...I haven't been able to figure out this setting. Help!

Not quite sure, but I think you set rear curtain in the camera, not the speedlights. However, there could be a "pre flash" trigger that fakes the PWs out. If you are line of sight to your speedlights, you should be able to use the Nikon CLS controls in the d90 to trigger your Nikon speedlights. The onboard flash will need to be popped up to send the commands to your speedlights, so no PWs in such a setup.

I see. CLS is not gonna work for me unfortunately, so I'm stuck with using Pocket Wizards this time.

Just set your flash mode on the D90 to "rear" and it will fire them at the end of the shutter.

just curious if you can give us a example of what you are trying to achieve?

I can't imagine Nikon CLS is so bad that no one uses it.
Either that or no one understands it.

Hold the flash adjust button (on the front of the camera on the left side, just below the pop-up flash), and roll the main wheel until it says REAR on the top.

I tried it with a D300 and both an SB-800 and an SB-28, and it worked for me.
