Agreed... from a first glance, very few met the challenge... The others did what all my ideas ended up being (cute and clever photo trickery), so I didn't bother. |

Have you ever paid attention to how people vote around here? :)
We will probably have a DNMC in the top 3, just because it's a good photo. Some people vote here like everything's a free study. |

Looks like we just moved into the 4 voter time zone.. same happened on the portraits at this time as well lol

I soo agree with this..looking at my scoring curve..crikey! was this that hard of a challenge to follow the directions? I am not a contender so maybe it was..but eek! there are a few really good images that have NOTHING to do with the challenge!

I agree - just voted and there are a few very creative takes, but it seems a lot of people completely missed the point of the challenge |

I totally missed this challenge and i really wanted to take part, but i couldnt find my camera's charger. Anyway for my part i will, as always, give low votes "DNMC" entries, i usually wont give a DNMC more than 6

Wow. A 1 is clearly justified, but I can understand the "kindness" of a 2 or a 3. But wow, a 6? |

Well, yes :P
The MOST i would give a DNMC is 6, meaning that's the max. So it would have to be a spectacular shot to score a 6 while still not matching challenge.
But typically a DNMC that's average or not so great would get a 1-3 range from me.

Between me logging off at work and booting up at home I've dropped 0.85. I agree with many commenters here some people didn't fully understand the challenge topic but there are several fun, clever and inspired shots. |

ok i'm still pretty pleased with my score but it's been above 6.8 all day and with the last 30 mins or so it's been in free fall

Im there with you too. Last night, after 25 votes, I was at 6.9. I would really like my image to be on my own profile page, so I hope this goes up a little more before next week.
That being said, my entry was last minute, and I contemplated not entering at all, because I wasnt fully satisfied with it. I thought it would get low 5's. I am pleasantly mistaken :) |
