'Tis very clear I entered the wrong one, at least for voting purposes. I'd be less sad if had a comment or two, but I'll let it be.** I know of two people that like it, and I value their opinions, so that's good.
I'll stick some of my many other pigeon shots from last week in my portfolio later today. None are like my entry, so I won't be revealing anything, and really, it wouldn't make much difference anyway, would it?
Still voting. Will comment 100% in this challenge. Some very delightful entries!

I've seen Deb's submission and also seen an alternative that was agreed by all to be more dpc friendly than the submission. So, good on you Deb for submitting your 'best' image rather than the most dpc friendly image - not everybodies cup of tea but hey, its liked by those that count ;) |

I had expected to wake up to find mine barely above a 5, so I'm pleased. Several good comments on top of it. Voting seems to be starting off pretty heavy.

I *knew* I could count on you liking all the pigeons ;-))) You had the hoped-for reaction to mine, and no one else's matters in this challenge (ooh, I just dissed all the voters in one comment!), so wandering around yesterday looking for the occasional pigeon in the midst of the flocks of starlings, sparrows and grackles was worth it! The other birds all posed nicely ... not so the pigeons.

putting the obvious ones to one side I'm not convinced that all of these pics are of pigeons.
I'm not a bird expert so I didn't vote on those yet but I have a feeling some may be birds such as grouse etc masquerading as pigeons lol |

We don't have many either, starlings, blackbirds and Canada geese being our pests here. |

i had to go on a pigeon hunt because i felt the same as you. i was pretty much set on taking the train into new york city and then the subway to central park, something that would've been more than a 2 hour trip one way, but on a whim i checked a local area and got lucky. it's unfortunate you couldn't get into this one, i'm sure you would've had something awesome |
