If you press him he'll probably be able to specify Cardinals Red, Packers Green ... ;-)
Your theory may explain why some teams like the Dolphins (Aquamarine) don't develop much of a national following. |

To me all those colors are, I suppose, just as beautiful as they are to anyone else. It's just the red-green nuances that are sometimes lost.
I failed the "Falant" test in the Navy, over and over again, to the point where they just couldn't let me do the specialty that I wanted...photographer! Red-white-yellow pinpoints of light, mixed in with some whites to confuse me and confound me. Arrrrgh.
But I get by with the assistance of a very amused but patient wife who has no such handicap.

My late brother Oscar was red/green colorblind, and he did ok with the problem:
A graduate of the Winona School of Photography in Indiana, Thompson has received numerous accolades for his work, including six images in the Professional Photographers of America Loan Collection. In 1994 his image "Blues in the Night" scored an unheard of perfect 100 at the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association Annual Convention of the Florida Professional Photographers Association. (from his website, Oscarstock.com )
He couldn't tell if a tomato was ripe or green.
Lucky me, I see all six of the colors, and love them all.

Well I am not quite that color blind. I can see red and green, just not well enough to pass the circle/dots test. I never seem to be able to see he numbers for the red/green.
I think possibly it depends on the shades of red/green.
