Bad news: Having crashed and burned in qualifying, I had to start from the back of the grid in the spare car.

Good news: The spare car appears to be set up very well; a bit of carnage prior to the first bend for others and a bit of late breaking by me means that I'm now pretty well placed.....

However, there are still plenty of bends left in this, the first lap of five.....

I tried your stupid KERS on the flowers challenge, and it didn't work. I tried it yesterday on portrait and crashed badly. I made it past the starting line, but I'm currently upside down and backwards on the track. To top it off with, bassman7 and jdroullard keep kicking up gravel at me each time they go around the track (and I saw them sniggering!)

Yup, Paul got teh spare car, the mechanics and engineers obviously had to concentrate on getting it set-up...to the detriment of my car, definately wrong set-up. I think I may even be in a wet-weather set-up on a dry track, I anticipate being in the last quarter..........! Annoying really, looking back I had another car set-up back at base and didn't use it!

Looking out to the field I can see LadyK seems to be in good position

LadyK 6.7042 + 0.2 = 6.9042
Jdroullard 6.6296
millsa 5.5488 + 1.0 = 6.5488
Lutchenko 5.7561 + 0.7 = 6.4561
basssman7 6.33
vawendy 5.3974
vlado 4.46

basssman7 6.33 = .6 = 6.93
LadyK 6.7042 + 0.2 = 6.9042
Jdroullard 6.6296
millsa 5.5488 + 1.0 = 6.5488
Lutchenko 5.7561 + 0.7 = 6.4561

vawendy 5.3974
vlado 4.46

no troubles. :) It does not mean much until it is combined with the partners' scores anyways.

A quick note as this is an individual and team challenge you earn points individually you do not combine scores for scoring rounds. however points earned by team members are added to form the teams scores

ex
you come in third place and earn 14 points your partner is 8th and earns 4 that means each one holds his points respectively but the team has 18 points.

Cool. So there are individual and team placements at the end then?

Excellent... I don't feel so bad about being a dead weight around millsa's neck now.

I think my photo's streering failing going into the first corner and was the first retirement from the race.

Ok, so Ericwoo is/was my son's partner, but was struggling to enter the flower challenge and didn't make the portrait challenge because of his stolen equipment. He was really looking forward to this, but now is severely handicapped because he's missing half of his scoring team. I don't know if Ericwoo is planning on continuing, but I'm curious, if you lose a partner, can you replace?

Not sure where I got that, the portrait thread I think I could have been confused though ( likley :) )

I've been ping ponging around 5.45 and 5.55, at my highest point now of 5.5766 .

Hadn't really thought that far ahead. It seems fair due to the circumstances does he have a replacement?

Since the team was registered I think if he has a replacement it should be ok.
