Sounds fair to me, specially since this is the top division. Though it would be less fair for say a third division replacement a drop out with someone with a 6+ average.

I'll have him pm tomorrow; he hasn't heard anything one way or another.

I agree as far as the average goes. The person he asked first was ecce signum, but he was out of town. But I'll explain to him that it wouldn't be fair. He's only 10, and since Andi's been very nice to him, Andi's his favorite person on DPC :D Hopefully Ericwoo is planning on entering, and this is all moot!

The finish line is fast approaching, with the lighter fuel in last few laps I've marginally improved my lap times to 5.6 but I don't think that will aid in the placings!

So is the next round a race or a qualifying?

From the other thread it was stated that to keep this thing from lasting forever, the scoring from this week will also act as the qualifying for the following week...so every week starting with portraits without children is both a scoring round AND qualifying until we reach the 5th scoring week which of course is scoring only because there is no race the next week.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but that is how I understand it. :)

One of the DPC Olympics lasted 12 weeks, and that was a killer. So the above combo plan is great (and also the way I understood it).

That is a good question for Indridi. My own opinion is that it would not be fair to base the "advantage" for the next week by including the previous one with your score...so I would think it would just be your base score before your advantage add on. (as far as determining the next week's advantage)

However I am not the creator of the challenge so everything I have said is just my own personal opinion/speculation.

I'm thinking that the advantage is going to be awfully hard to overcome, if you didn't get any advantage points. So hopefully it's based on raw score, or you'd really get crushed.

I agree. otherwise the advantage points really snowball, and those without will suffer. Hopefully Indridi can let us know soon, but I am not sure what time it is in his part of the world.

One of our recent first page people commented that my photo should make the first page.... however it is only sitting at 6.15. :( Despite the fact that I thought this image would flirt with a 7. :(
