WHOOT! I was on holiday for the last few days of voting for the 'noise' challenge so a belated thanks for all the votes, comments and pm's folks!!

To get the angles right I used a 15mm fisheye so lots of cropping was required. For my entry I used a 1 second exposure with a 2 second delay, held the skull approx 5 inches from the lens, hit the remote, struck the 'pose' and as soon as the flash fired moved the skull (on a stick) toward my face. The hard part was moving the skull for a full second and getting the shutter to close just as the skull covered my face..

Editing was little more than a (large) crop, converting to B&W with Nik Silver Effex Pro (adding noise) then finished the skull and blur off with a green photo filter in CS3 then erased the filter from most of my face.

An outtake I quite fancied but think I went with the right shot...

I can just picture your drop dead gorgeous models taking a photo with a skull like this. LOL. It would make a fun photo shoot, to say the least.

As an FYI, you could have avoided this difficulty by using rear curtain flash. This way, you would start the skull directly aligned in front of you and then shutter would open, and no matter how far you moved it the flash would still hit it and freeze it at the end.
Cool concept though. Congrats!
