I am clearly terrible at predicting how my own picture will score in challenges. I guess after looking at it a hundred times, I probably lose objectivity.

Some of you guys on here have been participating in and voting on challenges for a long time. Do you find you're fairly good at predicting scores, either your own or others? Has anyone ever had a side-contest to see who could come closest to predicting the final score of one particular challenge entry?

I can usually predict when one of mine will bomb for certain, but knowing which ones will have the broad appeal to do well is more difficult. Generally, my higher scoring entries have been the ones that are more cliche and have been done before. I suppose that is why they are done so much.

I think it would be interesting to predict someone else's score--though if it was a side-challenge, we'd have less people voting on that picture :D
