One of my close friends got an E-510 at the same time I did, so around a year ago, he has a few more lenses than I do, and more expensive ones at that...replaced his 14-42 with the 54, and has a 50mm macro, as well as the long 70-300mm, anyway, he loves the look of the E-P1 and wants to swap his E-510 body, and buy an adaptor to use his current lenses on the new PEN.
I'm in two minds about this. Olympus have done wonders with the sensor and it seems to be incredible with the low noise at high ISOs, but I wonder how it would feel with big lenses attached.

| From the reviews I've read, it still has some limitations compared to a full sized SLR, but has it's place. I can see myself buying one of these (or a similar large sensor compact) in the near future. These are going to be the kind of camera that you can carry with you all the time, but still get some quality pics. I can see it being the format of choice for street photographers, or any situation where someone with "professional gear" gets harassed and run off. The Olympus offering is also way retro-cool. I love the look. |
