Trash the Dress Lives! Hahaha
Fun shoot today. 1 model, 2 wedding dresses, 2 assistants, 1 large reflector, 2 flash units, 3 locations and a whole lot of giggles!
We started the day with my oldest daughter, Savanah, wearing my wedding dress from 23 years ago in a century old cemetary. To see her in that dress was serious deja vu. How can she be that old?
2nd stop included a wedding dress donated to the studio as a prop, and again Savanah. This time we visited some railroad cars that have been sitting on a disconnected side-track for about 60 years. Clouds were so nice to look at... but threatened rain!
The third spot, a long pier, thwarted us. The rain came fast and furious. Only a few shots were captured there before the downpour forced us back into the car.
My younger daughter, Taylor, a pro at Photog Assistant held the reflector for me today and her friend Jessa learned to be the slave-light controller. Thanks, girls! :D
Here are my early picks. Your thoughts are always cherished.

They're all great! My favorites are
but I think they're all great. I've been considering doing some of these with prom dresses (I've heard them called "rock the frock") |

Thanks, Bebe!! That first one is my personal fav too. :D
I love the idea of Rock the Frock. With 2 daughters, we always have "spare" prom dresses around. Perhaps that should be my next personal assignment. lol

Good shots, but I dont think you took it far enough.
With thier being a downpour, that pretty much is the best "prop" for a t.t.d session. I would have immediately found a way to continue shooting (an overhang, a garage, anything where I could stay dry and the model would get soaked)
But still cool shots. |

lol the downpour happended at our 3rd location. By that time my model was getting tired and my assistants were not willing to hold an umbrella for me while I continued shooting. Darn that free help. Everyone needed icecream! :P

Ok, I either need to stop editing late at night or stop posting pics late at night. I only just realized that the 1/2 hour I spent editing one of my images was lost and that I uploaded a completely un-edited version. Probably a good thing, though. The 2nd edit looks better than the first one had. lol
Here is the way I intended to present this image:
