Recently took delivery of extension rings for my camera and am having fun already! Any ideas of interesting macro subjects? Thanks

You might have a bit of trouble with the lenses you have, just as a heads up. Getting an old 50mm 1.8 is an excellent approach though. I got my MF E Series just for this for $30. I'm not sure where your focal point for the 18-55 would be (focus may or may not be achievable for your various lenses at their various focal lengths). Make sure to utilize your DoF preview and preferably a tripod, because in order to get more than a miniscule amount in focus, you'll need to really stop things down.
Anyway.... of course everybody loves doing insects and flowers, but I'd say anything with texture is a good subject. You'd be amazed at how things look way up close and how wild the textures appear. Gritty things can be fun, as can things with fuzz or hair. They provide interesting subjects because things drift out of your DoF. Things with sharp points too.

Try browsing the macro gallery for inspiration. Be warned though, there's 24000 plus images.
