I am considering this unit.Vegabond II
Anyone have one? If so any input? Reliability? How long will the charge last? I know it says it can power up to 6 lights, but how long will that last? I know there will be some varfying factors invovled that will determine this but genereally speaking and approximate times and flashes.

| I have one, it is always trickle charging, it works like a dream. Recharge time seems no different than when the units are plugged into the wall. I've never powered more than 3 units at a time (one 1600 and two 800's) and I have never shot more than 75-100 shots in a single session, so, I couldn't give you info on the limits. I doubt there is a better alternative or Paul Buff would have matched it. |

I am sure would rarely get to the limits of this unit. Once this is fully charged is it a self sustained unit? Meaning it is not plugged into anything anymore? It is fully portable?

| There are two of these at the studio I work from, and the get regular use. Charge em, go remote easily (plug your strobes in and shoot). I would not hesitate to buy one if I needed a personal one |

Ya right now, I have been using my neighbour's generator which is big and loud! This Vegabond looks soo much easier to use.

It is self sustained once charged. In between uses you keep it plugged at all times (trickle charging) so it keeps its full charge and is always ready to go. It is fully portable, small and weighs no more than 20 pounds. |
