In Queensland we have loads of lorikeets...the screeching deafens you in the afternoons. But Queensland is also known for Mangoes. Unfortunately mangoes that are left on the tree start to over ripen and become quite potent. The lorikeets love them. But they get quite drunk on them. I know in the main street of Mackay it becomes quite a hazard as the drunk lorikeets fly through the street screeching....except they do this only a few feet off the ground...right through the pedestrians and cars...and they are fast. They hit a few cars and people in the way...lmao!

Similarly, various animals can get drunk from apple trees when they ferment after sitting on the ground. |
