| It would be cool to see what people can come up with by taking pictures of there own hobby, Photography. It's kind of an oxi-moron but would be a really challenging subject. |

i dont know if anyone else is like this, but my buddy and i almost always end up taking shots of nyc tourists taking photos. theres just something about it. i kind of figured it was a "photographers thing"...
sparky, are you suggesting taking photos of photos? or more generally about anything photography related? i don't think its an oxy-moron at all...to me it almost seems like a natural flow.

| No not taking pictures of pictures. Taking pictures of Photography equitment, or a man taking pictures, or (if it's posible) take a picture of yourself taking a picture of somthing eles. Now thats an oxy-moron! |

being the ego-centric ass that i am (i think its the architect in me) i have MANY photos of me and my camera...reflections, TriP'd cams, friends with cams...i've got a disgusting collection :)...but i find that you're typically your own best model. you can really explore technique and then direct others based on what you find. i would hate to post them, since it's a pretty self absorbed affair :) (althoguh perhaps an entire portfolio of yourself woudl lessen the egoism of it all.... LOL anyway, i encourage doing it!

Yes it is possible to take photo of yourself while taking a picture. All you need is two cameras and a tripod and hit the timer. But, have the submitted photo also include the subject actually photographing something interesting or have an additional theme, kinda like a challenge within a challenge. This just might be a great challenge idea. A) get a shot of yourself while shooting. B) Show yourself in the shot photograghing another theme. C) Also, try to get the DOF the same, so both subjects are in focus. This is a rough idea in addition to the original idea. Something to think about.

Very interesting concept. The challenge wouldn't have to involve cameras necessarily, but something realting to photography.
