If I leave a voting page open for a long time (over an hour, maybe even a few hours) then return and vote on the photo, I am greeted with the following error:

Unknown error type: [2] Division by zero
Unknown error type: [2] Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/dpc/www.dpchallenge.com/include/funcs.php:59)

The vote appears to go through correctly, and I am able to continue voting normally once I've found my way back through the site. This is occurring during normal voting (yes, I still haven't finished!) rather than vote refining/commenting - I'll be able to test those later.

An update to this report:

Previously, I was finding my own way back to the voting page after hitting this error. I have now found that if I hit my browser's back button, then re-vote on the image, I am taken to a page which says that my session has expired and then back to the voting (thumbnails) page. I assume this is what is supposed to be happening when I hit the error message.

Nope, I was just going along voting and it was the next one, and I noticed it didn't have a back thing. I don't know what's happening, guess it's just me. Ah well.

Very strange. It shows up for me. I wonder if it's just a little glitch, where the << image is failing to load properly on your comp for that shot for some reason. Let us know if it stays that way, or if it fixes its self in time.

Well, I skipped this photo, and when it came around again it was fine, but there were images where it's fine, and then others that the << just doesn't load properly. I don't know what's up with it.

just a question on some shots. I don't know if it's just my computer or if everyone see's it. Some of the shots sometimes load halfway fine and then the rest of the picture is distorted in different ways. I've seen where have the shot goes green and other things like that, the shot looks fine also in the thumbnail. I have not voted down for photo's screwing up like that, but I was wondering if it was a common occurance, I have had a couple this week like that and then change back to normal. Mine turned glitchy today. I was just wondering what makes it do that?

No, this doesn't happen here and if it was happening a lot I'm sure there would be plenty of noise about it.

Are you on a dialup connection? Is your line noisy? Does this happen on other sites? It sounds like the jpeg data is getting cut short and your browser, knowing what size the image is supposed to be, just fills it with garbage.

I think it's unfair to vote images down when this happens as you are not seeing what was entered. I would suggest either skipping to the next image (the >> button) and coming back later, or trying a forced refresh (CTRL-F5).

haha, I was confused at why you said this at first and then I went back and saw what I had wrote. I forgot the "not". Crazy what one word can do, sorry. My favorite photo last week did that and I new that it was probly an internal error or something made it do that, but I still voted it a 10, cause I could see most of the picture and I new it wasn't the photographer's fault. I just wonder why it is doing that through my browser. My computer is so stupid sometimes. Sorry for the misunderstanding too.

Suddenly the menus take forever to load or hang altogether on all pages except my home page. I am going to reboot and see if that fixes the problem (as usual). Oops -- now it's intermittent. Back soon.

On the home page, it is suggested that I delete the dpchallenge cookie so that i won't have to log in everytime i return to the site.

I deleted the dpchallenge cookie in directory "C:\Documents and Settings\sjg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" I am using Windows XP Professional.

The problem persists. I still have to log in every time.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Goody! Menus seem fine now.

Data is cached, this is why it behaves like this. If you hit the page without having the data cached, it doesn't know where to go, so when it's done, it takse you back to the voting page, which then caches then data. It's designed this way to make voting lightning fast (and buggy as hell too! :) )
