what are you thoughts and ideas? am I being mad or silly?

SO this week,
Tuesday, ```````my kids left for Oregon for a month and a bit
Wednesday ``````put my dog to sleep
Thursday ```````informed my son now has stitches in head
Friday``````````other son has sprained ankle
TODAY

Then i was thinking of Timber, and suddenly had an idea. Call me mad, or whatever, I just want to know beofre i think too much if it is mad or not.

I was thinking our little town has a K9 unit that probably needs money. I was thinking of writing a letter and askign them if they wanted photographs of their K( Unit that they could use to sell or stick in a book.

Am I mad? Do you even think that they would or could take up an offer like that??

It would be therapeutic for you and might help them if they are interested. Maybe take shots they could use to make a calendar? You might besurprised as they might have a totally different idea, but need the shots. Good luck!

Note: As long as they didn't stitch one kid's head to the other one's ankle...you're golden! :P Hugs! Kat I think you've been hanging around with Dave too much, rofl!

Yes, it definitely sounds like a Dave-week, aka a BAD one.

Hey, what have you got to lose by asking them? Even if they turn you down it's not like they'd set the dogs on you.... would they?

Don't think of it as bad.

Think of it as experience. These things make you strong, and give you more character.

I read about your dog in the other thread. I'm sure he/she lived a very happy life. Dogs do what they want to, when they want to.. and everything is good to them, whether it's chasing squirrels in the backyard or peeing on the furnature or humping their favorite stuffed animal.. they love it all. My dogs time will come too and I will be able to say we had a blast together.

Your idea actually sound kinda fun, and a good way to remember how happy dogs are. Go for it!

You could just walk in there with your camera in hand and tell them your idea. Have any lighting gear in your car.

Yes I was thinking of action shots, sitting shots, the handlers.

My dog was as thick as brick wall. I put a doggy door in 8 years ago, she could go out of it just fine, but then would forget where it was, so would bark and squeek till you let her in the main door.

5 years of dog school and she still coudnt sit.

But man she had fun, and that is what i was thinking with this.

The calendar idea is a good one too.

I am really starting to like this idea, I am sure i would have a lot of things to think of before i go to them though, dont wanna look stupid

Gather up a bunch of hats.. and do some poses with the hats.. whether it's in their mouth, on their head, or whatever. Each dog with a different hat. lol..but the K9 guys might have too much testosterone to go for that.
