flash......I have two external flashes for my Olympus E-500....the Vivitar with all the bells and whistles takes 4 AA batteries but it seems to take forever to refresh....not a good thing when you are trying to capture people walking down an aisle.........my smaller one requires 4 AAA batteries and it seems to refresh almost instantly. Are there stronger batteries that I could use that might make my Vivitar flash refresh faster? Any ideas?

You need to get some NiMH rechargeable AA batteries and a decent charger. I have been using Lenmar brand and some others. Go for at least a 2500mAh battery and get 8 of them. I suggest looking at Thomas Distributing.

ETA that Pearstone as sold by B&H are OK too.

ETA2: Adorama has a good deal on a 4 pack with case and I see David Terry input a review there as well. Price is the best I have found. The Lenmar batteries I have used for two years are among the best...
