I have fuji s5000 point and shoot. I want to convert it to IR camera. Does anybody know how to do it or can point me to a website.

Here is a total disassembly of the S602z, which will give you an idea of what things look like inside. link
Here is a Fuji Service manual for the S5000. Includes complete exploded diagrams and disassembly. You MUST! download both parts (0 and 1) and then you can open it as a PDF. link
Here's an example of what the hot filter could look like (example is from a Canon G3/5, but the idea is the same). Keep in mind that some (not sure which) Fuji's have the hot mirror fused to the sensor, so you can't remove them. link to hot mirror removal |

Hey, not sure if you'd be interested, but in case you hadn't seen, shalrath is selling a lifepixel converted D70.
