Hey everyone! My I quit challenge scored disappointingly low to me and I got positive comments (one was slightly critical but vague), I entered:
I was considering these as well:

Do you think one of these would have done better, or did I mess up the concept?

Just one guy's opinion, but I would have gone with
or .
I think your concept was just fine, but your entry was somewhat flat. Something to do with the lighting, I think. |

For me the first image, , is head-and-shoulders above the others in its poignancy and despair. So that's the one I wish you'd entered.
As an aside, that's some serious tats on your wife, whoa! :-) You got some too?

IMO, I didn't see any of the pictures as saying "I quit". But they clearly expressed addiction problems, and convey the despair.
I think this one expresses it better than the original or the others. This one shows the "lines" of cocaine more clearly than your original. Your model doesn't have that "tweaker" "strung out" look that people who have hit rock bottom look and want to quit... Just my opinion.

Agree with Bear the image below is head and shoulders above the rest, seriously highly charged in emotion IMO

Thanks everyone, this is some helpful feedback. I wanted to depict where i was mentally when I went through this struggle over 10 years ago. I think a different image would have faired better although I agree that none of them are winning images.
Bear my wife says thanks for the complement on her ink, she has 5 total, I have one.
