It's a good thing that Model Mayhem contests are such a big deal, otherwise this whole thing might seem rather silly. Maybe I'm out of the loop but what happened to just sending a PM as a courtesy or is that so yesterday?

| Leo... its unfortunate that you had to get disqualified. Hopefully MM admin are more understanding than some of their users, and don't suspend your account. I think you would be quite competitive in their challenges, and your work definitely belongs there. |

I took the gold in that contest about a year ago. That was the closest I ever was to greatness... More proof that those contests are not much of a big deal. If I can win it, then it isn't worth entering.

Yes I did read your whole post, I did actually feel the guy was out of order, but my point was YOU were out of order with your response to the members who took time to reply on this board, infact most of the replies were actually showing some support for you but you MISREAD it again and got all bitchy. Would I have been p*ssed off if it had happened to me? No not in that instance the shot was a nothing shot anyway and to be honest I probably wouldn't have wasted my time standing there for it in the first place.

I am not being over the top judegemental IMO my initial post was polite and informative had Leo not been so quick to react (and had he reacted how I had imagined him to react then this would have all blown over and his image still in the contest, however you then poked your nose in as usual and made it in to a big deal, Jeb look back at this thread and see how the tone has changed since you entered it).

Initially I was purely letting you know that vote stacking is not allowed, a simple reply like ah I wasn't aware of that I will check it out would have had this thread at the bottom of the pile and forgotten by now. I have no doubt you will be on the front page of MM soon enough and your images do not need these actions to get there, for what it's worth I am sorry I reported the image but that's done now and cannot be reversed, however I do know your account will not be suspended in this instance.

I am not upset at Mark for reporting me. Mark felt that, me standing by my decision warranted some action on his part. He is free to do so, just as I am. Obviously I misunderstood the rules and was rightfully DQ'd.The MM police sent me a nice PM and notified that I was DQ'd. No blood no foul. Lesson learned.
I still think that the rules are not clear in stating that you cannot post in another site. But its pretty clear now.
As for the pic I will post a series of pics from the same shoot later.
I have to go and play footy now, you kids play nice!

I just read the last couple of posts.
I appreciate the efforts of some to stand by me. Am I upset at Mark? No it is a silly contest that you don't win anything except for some pride. I don't agree with his decision or MM's decision and I stand by that!
I have more important things to worry about. I take part in these contests for fun. It should stay that way. I am not going to let this incident or anyone ruin it for me.
This got way out of hand.

Life is so much bigger than this one small event. He is a damn rule nazi. Keep your positive attitude. That will get you further than this dickweed will ever get. I'm sorry you feel this way, I never resorted to being aggressive or name calling to Leo at all, I don't think your response is necessary or in anyway warranted. I am surprised that some people here have taken such an attitude towards cheating and I would really like to see how you would react if you were knocked out of say a first place prize in a different competition by someone not abiding by the rules of that competition, my guess would be you would run here and scream and shout about it for everyone to jump by your side... So many internet Rambos behind their PC screens, so sad.

Certainly, I would not be accepting if someone cheated or even if I had thought they cheated...but I would take it to those in authority and let them make the decision. If they let me down, THEN I would have something to say to those I believed had stepped over the line. But this guy did not realized it was outside of the rules. It was evident by his overall reaction once he was DQ'd. Ask the SC's here if have complained...a couple of recent DQ requests. I certainly have. And I did not like their reaction and I told the individuals what I thought. BUT I did NOT overtly berate them over and over and over again. Put down the blunt object and step away. As far as my "aggressive name calling", I have no idea what you are talking about. I never said who I was referring to. Do you have a guilty conscience? |

Erm Steve there's no question who you are referring to as I am the only one in this topic who has a certain perspective on this matter, I am sure there are many who consider the basic message I put across to be fair and correct but they are not posting...
I did not berate Leo over and over again I simply replied to posts that were made after my initial one, I haven't lowered myself to being rude or aggressive to anyone (other than Jeb), I accept that Leo did not realise his actions constituted cheating and I have made that point several times through this debate, however, if you were told you were effectively cheating but did not know it, would you get aggressive and defend your stance or would you simply acknowledge the person who informed you possibly remove the post and move on? I know what I would do personally and I am sure most people would do the same.
Let's be clear I did not report Leo until after it had got out of hand and at no point until then had I intended to, it was a decision I made after I was blasted several times for pointing out the facts. Do I regret reporting him? Yep, but not for the backlash I have since received that's for you lot to carry on if you wish, I actually regret it because I should have thought about it and PM'd Leo once Jeb had started his crusade and discussed it with Leo personally it would not have got out of hand that way as I am sure as adults we could have worked it out amicably.
