I don't share as much as I used to. It seems once I started shooting more clients, I share my pics publicly less and less. Its not that I'm not proud of my more recent work; I just can't find time to post them for fun. BUT... I had a session this week with one of my favorite little models and since my DPC family has watched her grow up, I thought I'd share the latest shots of sweet Ella.

For those who haven't seen, or don't remember Ella... this was at four months old:

And at eight months:

Twelve months...

And at eighteen months we did another session, but I only had one uploaded (dunno why)

So.... Ella is turning two and this week we did her two-year session. Because I love her so much and her parents always order tons (giggle), I didn't mind creating a new set for the studio, now dubbed Ella's Beach. Ella loved her beach set and played in it for hours. Here are a few of my early favs...

I hope my work has improved during Ella's short life. I feel like it has. Granted each session has its own challenges and we have to deal with whatever each client brings (mood, attitude, tolerance, etc.). Ella happens to be one of the most patient and friendly tots I've had.

She's growing up to be a real sweetheart. Dad'll need the shotgun out early!

Fantastic work, as always :)

Clearly Ella has worked hard over the past two years to make you look like a better and better photographer. ;-) Beautiful portraits, Cindi!

Sure she's earned all those animal crackers I bribe her with. Its nice of her to make me look good, eh? :D

Thanks, guys - glad you like Ella's portraits. She's so fun to shoot, I'd take her every day.

Mommy and Daddy haven't seen any of this week's session yet. I will try to finish editing them today and hopefully have the family in for preview early next week. We should have about 60 finished shots from the 400+ images shot this time.

BTW.... Ella's Beach consisted of a $13 plastic wall mural from Party City and a beige colored backdrop for the sandy floor. Add a few beach toys and kid-sized chairs and that's it. Whole set probably cost about $45.

Very nice work Cindi.

Any regrets on making the jump to full-time? I'm sure it cranked up the stress-level a bit, but at at least you are enjoying the career field.

Thanks, Sam.

No, no regrets at all. Wedding season is in full swing and seniors are calling for summer sessions, so I'm enjoying every moment. The economy has caused bookings to fall a bit though, so I'm currently looking for new opportunities to supplement the studio income. All-in-all, I still love photography more than any J.O.B. I could ever have.
