after much drooling, i pulled the trigger on my first Leica, the venerable D-Lux 4:
so far, the test shots are quite impressive.

Wow. Congratulations on your new baby! Where did you buy it and for how much? That's lovely.
Cheers!

I own the Panasonic LX3...very similiar camera, but the lux 4 is way cooler. Yet, I love my LX3! Post some photos...would love to see them. |

yeah its basically the same camera, but for some reason i just felt like springing for the leica.
some say that the leica produces slightly better jpeg's and that it has a slightly better lens coating allowing more light through (as a side effect one tester said that it picks a lower iso than the lumix in many situations).
didn't get a chance to shoot anything yesterday, but i'll try to get some sample shots up tonight.

It's cool how you can change the aspect ratio simply with a switch on top of the lens. Looks like a fun piece of equipment. |

enjoy your new camera....I have been so happy with the LX3. It might be a p&s camera to some, but to me it has inspired my creativity again! |

Actually, I was just acting ignorant. I didn't know Leica's were digital at all! So my ignorance isn't an act, haha! :-D
