New here with a new camera. :)
I just upgraded from my superzoom point and shoot to my first DSLR, a Nikon D90. Was out with friends rock climbing today and took a lot of shots. Here are a few I liked. Critique welcome...I would have liked to have cropped the feet out of picture one, and the blurred item and sandals on the ground out of picture two, but I didn't notice them until I was done. I need to be looking closer...

Nice shots. I think you have a good sense of composition. I liked how you composed photos #3 and onwards. Some have distracting elements like the bag/shoes/sandals but they can be cloned out. Congratulations on your new camera. And oh, don't forget to share more of your shots soon.

Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words. I will definitely be posting more.

Here are a few more shots from yesterday:

(Yeah she's dead center of the frame, but it was a quick snapshot as I thought she was going to fall. I liked the emotion in it though)

And a candid. The girl was climbing and fell, swung out off the wall and ran into her belay partner. I thought it was funny.

Sorry, I wasn't aware I was supposed to post thumbnails here. They should be clickable to a larger version now.

Thanks.
