Whoa! Monica and I see eye to eye on something! :) Skinny people of the world unite!

I'll jump on that bandwagon. At 110lbs I get called skinny far too often and I rarely miss a meal (though I do eat sensibly).

I'm not talking about naturally skinny people in this comment.
I did not say that to be funny at all, I have friends with serious eating issues and its no joking matter.
I do know for a fact that many young girls (And young men.) that would like a career in the modeling industry or simply want to be 'in fashion' do not eat healthy. I myself almost got stuck in the rut in trying to be beautiful in a wordly way.
I have naturally skinny friends also, so I get where your coming from, but my comment was intended to say about the darker side of this sort of photography, when people put their health on the line.

nicely said Frozen :D, I second that |
Oh come on. This is so annoying. Some people are just skinny. I don't know why its so fun for people to say annoying things about skinny people. We are the minority that's for sure but certainly not half starved. And the ones that are starving themselves have a serious mental issue, and that isn't funny either.

Yay! Someone else who didn't go the potrait way :D
Most of my comments have been "What is it??" Personally when I look at it I can tell right away, but anyway....
But in the end, I like my photo and that's all that matters. exactly what I feel :)

Eh...about where I expected it to be. Like a handful of others, I took the "shot that conveys glamour" route and ended up right where I thought I would. But in the end, I like my photo and that's all that matters.
On to the next challenge!! |

Common guys lets just vote on the quality of the shot and leave the fat, thin, skinny morals for a different site. I have just checked the entries and cannot see any skinny exploited and over exposed models in this challenge. With the UK definition/connotation of glamour I was expecting much worse from the entries.

Arrrrgh, I should have paid, dressed and fed the model a bit better as my score is still falling! :-) |

The fans are only so-so on this one. Would be nice if it would stay above my average, though.

Glamour appears about 2X more popular than Grunge ;-)
I am sitting at 60 votes with 120+ views and a comparable score...

100 votes and I'm pleasantly surprised, my score has actually gone up. Now we'll see if it stays that way.

I'd love to have more comments, but I can't complain. My husband, armphoto has an entry in Grunge and has 64 votes and NO comments! |

Made a very slow and slight recovery over night to 5.9722 and
then just got hit by a 3.
Now I don't mind if my image is poor or DNMC etc etc but I have been getting 6s, 7s, 8s and a few 10s but it's
the 1s 2s and now 3s that have totally killed it

I find it incredible that there is such polarisation in the voting. You expect some variance obviously but 6,7,8s and then a 2? Personally I reserve anything under a 4 for shots that are REALLY bad technically and they must be really bad. Even DNMCs I usually vote on moderately well. After all who am I to say what is or isn't a correct interpretation. I can state my opinion but not much else.

I have a theory here that implied nudity causes some people to vote low because they don't approve.

The slippy slide continues. Although it looks like everyone is having the same issue. |

It's amazing how you can lose .2 in 10 votes at this stage.
Just had a guy leave a comment that said he gave it an 8, when the score says he gave it a 5.
go figure.
Time to turn off the scores. |

Shee. Getting lots of "just ok" votes with an occasional "sucks". Just enough 6's to keep me hovering around where I am.

More likely, he had already voted and was going back through leaving comments. His comment just happened to come it at the same time as someone else's 5. |

Hurry it up. The pizza is getting cold and I've already consumed most of the 6-pack that I brought. You didn't want any of that nasty American beer anyway, did you? |

Have to disagree with you there. We have had several "Nude" challenges which have historically been among the highest viewed and receive some very high scores each time. I don't think DPC as a whole are prudish or have anything against nudity or implied nudity. Yes a few speak loudly against it... but the vast majority do not.
