Is the history brush allowed under the new advanced editing rules? I was under the assumption it would be considered spot editing, but after looking over the rules again I'm not so sure. Anyone have an absolute answer?

Advanced editing - yes. Basic editing - no.

Advanced editing, as far as I know, allows you to make the shot "the best it can be." I look at this as tweaking minor errors such as hot-pixels and small elements that hinder the quality of the shot (dust specks, scratches, a hair, etc..) So yes, under advanced editing you should be fine.

The prohibition on spot-editing is in the basic rules only. Spot-editing is permissible under advanced editing.
