About a year ago, imagesbytlp put up a thread asking if anyone would shoot a surprise proposal for her friend in NYC. Well, I was the lucky photog and let me tell you, I NEVER thought that would change my life. Well, it did. Then, a friend gave my name to the wedding planner at Central Park... the rest is wedding photographer history. My business is booming (especially with the surprise proposals) and I am really thrilled with this new direction in my life. I used to say I could never shoot a wedding. Now I've done 2, have 3 more booked and I'm shooting my first BIG wedding this Memorial Day. Yay, me!
I just put up a new blog post and I am just super proud of it, so I wanted to show it off! I also wanted to thank Terri. If it wasn't for that forum thread, I'd just be shooting headshots. Also thanks to Rob for linking me to the thread in the first place! Y'all are the bomb diggity. :)
See folks, you don't have to win a ribbon on DPC to be awesome :) It'd be nice though! |

Thanks you guys. No, no rejections yet! That would be awkward :) I think that any guy who hires me to do this is pretty sure she'll say yes! |

Hi Rompy,
some lovely images there - I love the way you have cropped some of those shots, and they look great with natural lighting. |

It's wonderful that you were able to get a boost through DPC, but you still wouldn't be where you are if you weren't good at what you're doing :) |

Your photos are all GREAT. The thing with this niche is to capture all the emotions.. the excitement, happiness, etc. And those clearly show in your photos. I really enjoyed looking at them. Awesome job! Best of luck on your new venture.
Cheers!
