First of all, let me say I love this site. Drew, Langdon, and the crew are doing a bang up job, they deserve all the support we can provide. They let a lot more crap pass through here than some of the facist mods on other boards. You should be happy for that.

1) People can sometimes take things too seriously. There are many sites on the internet. If you feel you are not being treated fairly or objectively here, there are many other places on the web where you may be more comfortable.

2) Regarding the controversy in the last contest: it is obviously true to me that the image is in violation of the 'spot edit' rule and therefore should be DQ'd. Rules are rules, no exceptions allowed, there should not even be a discussion, and if you don't like it just come back next week and try again. However the photographer in question got disgusted with the pissing contest (as I would have been, and said screw it). The whole thread degenerated into a meltdown unworthy of the DPChallenge spirit, IMHO.

3) We are all here to have fun, so let's have some, OK?

Bet you never thought you were getting into politics when you designed this site, did you?
