There is a fantastic childrens' book that is being made into a film, due out soon: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It is about a fictional (obviously)town where the weather turns nasty and food drops from the sky.
And the other challenge could be Pickles to Pittsburgh which is the sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Pickles to Pittsburgh is about the land Chewandswallow characterized by giant food (tuna fish sandwiches have to be moved by helicopter).

| well let's wait until near the end of summer when the giant veggies that grow here in the valley (in Alaska) are ready....then I can shoot a truly gigantic cabbage falling from the sky. |
