OTTAWA-area GTG with snaffles and special guest...

Hmmm...I suppose having you around will be good practice for when I have to go look after my 2 nieces (ages 5 and 9) for a week...

Tenative schedule, would still have to contact people to firm up times/dates:

Thursday afternoon/evening - you do running around, meet at my place, settle in;
Friday - I have to work Friday morning so would be done by eleven or noon at the latest. That gives you time to do...uhmm...stuff...Friday afternoon, maybe try and meet up with Ray and possibly Ralph in my neck of the woods and do some shooting in this area;
Saturday - shoot in Ottawa...where? Dunno yet.
Sunday - I know that's your planned time of ~~escape~~ errr departure...there is a place, McHaffie's Flea Market, open only Sundays, within a km of the 401 so you may find some stuff there to shoot. Or buy. :-)

The weekend I am in Toronto...
Some family is flying in from Australia that I haven't seen in a few years.

Will be at the next one that's for sure.
Specially since I now have a Nikon :P
Seems almost everyone from the last gtg I was at now uses
Nikon's :)

Brief update on itinerary: My main employer is going to be home Friday, so I am not needed, meaning I can sleep in, yay! Rare to get a long weekend in this business.

Ummm am I right in deducing that I should keep a close eye on your sugar intake, Max?

And Druli will wake me at 5:30 anyway, then Lily will probably come and say good morning around 6, so I generally don't have much chance to get back to sleep anyway!

BTW do you drink/not drink alcohol? And if so what brands?

Ralph can meet us Saturday in Ottawa, can hash out the details closer to the time. I'll call Ray in another day or so and see what he feels up to doing, maybe just local stuff.

Well, I'm going to go finish reading a book now. I don't know what Orillia's like, ie rural or urban, but here I fall asleep to peeping tree frogs, the howl of coyotes, and the occasional redneck spinning donuts with their truck...and even traffic noise doesn't last long thanks to 18' thick walls!

Oh yeah, your bed is on castors, so if you want to move the furniture a bit, so you can do things like look at the stars through the skylight, you can. I do have a white-noise machine, if you need help getting to sleep.

Sorry I don't drink alcohol but PLEASE don't let that stop you from enjoying your beverage of choice :)

As for getting to sleep, my wife sings me to sleep every night so I'll be bringing along some sheet music for you of some of my favorites from her repitior. Start warming up :)
