Whatever editing (although basic might suit this quite well). Capture an image inspired by famous advertising campaigns of old.

Have you ever seen an old advert that you wanted to try and replicate? I think that this might encourage people to step outside the box of eye-candy ultra-modern which we see so much of on this site.

I dont agree that it's a step away from "eye candy" - it is advertising after all. But i like the idea. We had a similar assignment last semester in my main photo class for my major and it turned out well.
