Whats a decent paying/just over minimum wage job that involves photography? I mean, like an assistant or whatever. Ive goten a job offer before to work in a photo-lab and shoot hockey games with a pro (a guy who let me play with his 1d), but that was in Atlanta when I was traveling with my brother at a hockey tournament. I know I could go around to photographers and ask about doing that with them, but do you think that possibly putting up flyers around a park, saying id photograph people/peoples kids playing sports, and charge somekind of fee? If you think this is a good idea, what should i charge?

I would make a portfolio and visit the arena that these games are at and have flyers to hand out. If the parents or players inquire about it you can show them shots that you have made previously.

Dunno how it would work for a 14 year old what wiht all the agism & all but I know a guy who takes his cam & his printer to karate tournaments & take shots. He prints one or two out, right there & then to shot folks. Lots of parents pay to get prints of their kids in action right at the tournament. He makes some bucks doing it.

Or make up some business cards with your dpcstore pictures, take photos of people or kids in action, upload pictures and set prices, (maybe that you could hand your card to coaches or team helpers.....something like that..

age won't matter if you are good at your subject( after viewing your profile, i realized you are ), if as some suggested you have Portfolio it would definately help you better.

it will be much better if you can assist a PRO rather than shoot and sell directly , this way you will gain practical indepth knowledge of How PRO Phtographers Operate.
