I'm shooting a prom this weekend and thought I might reach out for some creative ideas for the dpc crew. I have no problems setting up some 'standard' portrait lighting and clicking off a bunch of images that will please the parents and probably bore the students, but I would like to do something a little different.

The theme is "A night in New York" and I will have a park bench and street light for my set. I've been trying to think of great movie scene with a similar set to inspire me, but nothing comes to mind.

A flashed tied to the street lamp to simulate street light then another flash from the opposite side to simulate another out of sight street lamp sounds like a good start, but I'm still a little stuck on how to light the couple's faces in a believable way? I could also use a couple of cool ideas for poses because the theme and set just screams out for more than two kids standing next to each other in their fancy prom cloths.

Thanks in advance for any inspiration you might offer!
