Done.

Voting on this one ought to be slowing down once the freestudy begins.

My shade tree wasn't the subject, but it IS a supporting role. I find it quite interesting how people interpret the descriptions of these Challenges. Often, they are just flat wrong.

No offense, but if 98% of the pictures in the challenge have similar primary subjects and your's doesn't, could that mean that you had the incorrect interpretation? Just a thought.

From the Challenge page:
Details: Include 1 or more trees in your composition.
Says nothing about it being the subject in the details. My pic's the same. The trees aren't the real focus, they're just part of the shot. Mind you I'm running a 6.2500 right now so I'm not complaining but he's right it doesn't say anything about the tree being the subject, just that it has to be part of the composition.

If you're at 6.25, it doesn't sound like the majority of people have a problem with the trees not being the subject... so I guess I don't understand what the problem is...

The problem is he feels left out if he can't complain about his score. I'm also wondering why nobody is telling me what is wrong with my entry. It's dropped to a 6.88 this afternoon and nobody will tell me what sucks so much about it.

What an awful score! I think you should give up if your entry is that bad!

edited to add: hmm, the double flag pole is odd. If everyone keeps quoting this message it could do very strange things to my brain.

Not complaining actually for myself. I'm quite happy. Just pointing it out for someone else earlier in the thread who mentioned that his score was low because some thought he was DNMC pointed out in a later reply. Thought I'd clear up that if there's a tree or more in the picture, it DMC's

yay...i made it 6.5, now just got to keep my fingers crossed that it stays above that.
i also think that "trees" aren't really the main subject of my pic but more of a contributor to the composition as a whole. i almost didnt use it for the challenge because of it...i'm glad i did.

Nope. It's fully dependent on how the challenge is worded. It IS possible that EVERYONE can interpret the challenge incorrectly.
