Did anyone ever say that the TREE(s) have to be the subject of the photo?
"Description: Include 1 or more trees in your composition."
Ya know, maybe there ought to be a separate council of voters for a separate rating by professionals.

If it were implied, that's a reader's opinion.
If it were expected, it would be in the description.

You made me curious enough to vote--much earlier than I normally do.
I had no problem with trees not being the subject, as long as they played an important supporting role. However, if they had nothing to do with the picture, but just happened to be in it, that really seemed like a shoehorn to me. |

My shade tree wasn't the subject, but it IS a supporting role. I find it quite interesting how people interpret the descriptions of these Challenges. Often, they are just flat wrong.

I fav'd my choice for the blue ribbon. I haven't been doing favs too often. Most of the time, I forget about it. And then I was also just fav'ing the ones that I found truly super stupendous. But I figured favs are so much fun to get, I'm going to pick 1-3 favs in each challenge. I've picked one so far--I'm going to go back and do two more.
ok, my favs have been set!
