No, you can PM the person and ask them if they would change it. Depends on who it is if that woudl fly or not. If it is totally rude and out of line, you can ask the SC with an inquiry. If it is just a critique of your entry, and not personally offensive or using foul language, they probably won't do anything.

Well, so far, my photo is scoreing better than any other I have placed in a challenge. Anyone who reads this post, please make note- Since I have joined this group, my pictures have scored better and better. I can directly attribute that to the COMMENTS that I have received on my various entries. Please, please, please take a moment to make a comment on a photo. Particularly if you believe you have some advice that will improve the shot. I am actually learning here people!!! Thanks!

I've got an entry in this one that, in every possible significant respect, I think is exceptionally good: it's scoring 5.3ish...

Now, there are of course "insignificant" respects, such as "Does it have DPC *wow* factor?", in which area it's apparently short of the mark, but it's a photograph of a tree, an excellent photograph of a tree, even (dare I say it) a *superior* photograph of a tree, and the freaking voters think it's a below-average entry. Sigh. I could weep...

You should have gotten with Slippy before the challenge. I thought it was just a snake-oil claim, but that wow-factor plugin he sold me really works.

Not knowing which entry is yours of course, I can tell you this much - your entry shows a tree or trees, clearly interpreted as such; is in good focus, has good clarity and color (I'll assume it's color), is not offensive in any way, doesn't have a "statement" to make, is reasonably well-composed, and is not overshadowed by anything which takes away from the "tree" part of the picture. It doesn't totally "wow" the viewer, but is a pleasant and reasonably pleasing photograph.
