Good Evening Everyone,

Last Weds was Earth Day and being all about nature, it inspired me to finish up the next batch of my Hawaii Photos. You can view the photos by clicking at the link at the end of the e-mail at your leisure.

Expect one more installment in the next couple of weeks.

It is not difficult to give in to nature in the beautiful state of Hawaii. It almost seems like nature engulfs you into her arms and reminds you of a beautiful world that surrounds us that is take for granted.

I named this next batch "Beaches, Chickens and Waterfalls" because that is what I saw mostly on the island of Kauai. For those who haven't been to Kauai, you will notice on thing the moment you step outside the planeâ€Â¦The Chickensâ€Â¦

Kauai is known for their wild chickens due to a hurricane that almost destroyed the island letting free the cooped up chickens all over the island. Now days, chickens are everywhere on the island (it is actually quite comical). You see them on the beaches, mountains and even on the side of the highways. The common local comment about the chickens is, "Yes there are chickens here and the Roosters don’t seem to know what time of day it isâ€Â¦they crow all hours of the night" (I wish I had a dime every time I heard that)

The waterfalls are also plentiful in Kauai due to that it rains in the mountains nearly every hour. Kauai contains the wettest spot in the world above and into the mountains. Which results to some of the longest and most beautiful waterfalls. Everywhere you see, there is one or more waterfalls adorning the background.

Kauai also has some of the most secluded beaches. Seems to me that almost every time I hiked to a beach, I could be alone for hours without seeing a soul. This was Bliss for a photographer. Being able to capture nature in its interrupted state was a golden moment for me.

Hiking is also tops in Kauai. The Napali coast has the longest hike in the U.S with some of the most beautiful scenery available. It takes days to do the 11 mile hike, but nature rewards you ten fold.

There were many days that I wouldn't lift the camera and just enjoyed the beauty that surrounded me. This seemed to come naturally. I would hike for hours to spend an eternity admiring and enjoying the waterfalls and not even once pick up the camera. After all, photos are just snapshots in timeâ€Â¦but experiences and memories are pictures that stick with you for a lifetimeâ€Â¦.

I hope you enjoy
