Just got this email this afternoon and read it a few minutes ago.

Rick Slaven, of the POTD site AZcolt.com (now defunct) lost his battle with cancer on Friday April 24, 2009.

Not sure if any of you ever submitted, won, or just took part there, but I thought I would pass it on.

Rest in Peace, Rick. Prayers to his wife and son in their grief.

I read this earlier on your website. I had a lot of photos of the day on his website, sorry to hear of his passing.
