Hello everybody.

I have a friend who has a drawing and wishes to enter it into a competition, but is required to do so as a digital file. now the drawing is much to big for a scanner so she was wondering if I could do it for her (with a camera).

My question is if anyone knows some good tutorials on taking pictures of flat surfaced images? or personal knowledge on the subject. I have a studio that I can reserve so lighting isn't a problem just looking for any knowledge in the area.

There's lot of info on the web about this subject... How to Photograph Artwork

I like to use two large softboxes, positioned close, with one light on either side. I put the camera on a tripod with the tripod riser mounted horizontally so the camera faces straight down.

I've also gotten some very good results using natural daylight.
