Hi guys,

I have a Canon 30D - my pictures are all correctly 'right side up' on my LCD screen, but when I download them (or is it upload them) to My Pictures (Windows XP) the Portrait ones are on their side - please help me correct this - it's taking too much time to tip them right way up again!

Thanks,

Lisa

In your camera menu, "Custom Functions", there's a setting for "autorotate"; turn that on and most programs will read the tag and rotate the image for you.

ETA: it's just a regular menu item, not one of the custom functions...

Thanks Bear - I've got that switched on for both Camera & Computer, but it's only working in the camera - the computer - NOT!

Then "My Pictures" in windows either doesn't "read" the tag or is set in preferences to ignore the tag. I don't use it so I don't know which. See if there are "preferences" associated with My Pictures anywhere.
