Subject says it all- I formatted a drive FreeAgentGo 160GB, and all of the file names turned blue. I'm using XP SP3.
This isn't really a problem or anything, but a curiosity to me as I'm wondering why it changed blue.

Compressed files show up in colour selected?

Yeah, you must have chosen to compress the drive when formatting. You shouldn't have any problems with compressed drives. In fact, you will be able to store more (generally speaking). JPG won't compress much more than they already are, but other files can take advantage of a compressed drive.

Files/folders on a compressed drive appear in blue font, while encrypted files/folders appear in green.

Ha. I knew it was simple. I totally forgot about them appearing differently. Mental lapse.
Thanks for the quick replies.
